Tree & Wildlife Scheme Leader : Royal Parks Foundation
Salary: circa £20,000 - £24,000 per annum
The Royal Parks Foundation is a registered charity, launched in May 2003, to help conserve and enhance London’s eight Royal Parks and improve their financial future.
The small, fun, energetic team is based in Hyde Park, where it works alongside colleagues from The Royal Parks Agency, who are responsible for the daily management of the Parks.
Since its launch, the Foundation has helped raise over £7million for a variety of projects, large and small. As part of its work, the charity helps support the 130,000 trees in the Royal Parks. It also runs a popular wildlife adoption scheme. There is great potential to develop both programmes and we are looking for the right person to drive this for us.
The successful candidate will help write the development strategy as well as create imaginative marketing campaigns in print and on-line. The schemes require co-ordination and you will need to build strong relationships with donors, set up efficient systems with park management teams, organise tree dedication ceremonies and keep meticulous records.
You’ll communicate confidently and sensitively face-to-face and on the phone and you’ll have at least two years experience working in a busy office. You’ll be computer-literate with an infectiously enthusiastic attitude, plus the ability to handle lots of tasks simultaneously.
